SeviaFlow Get Started

Why SeviaFlow

SeviaFlow is designed for teams that want the speed of resource-driven development without moving application behavior into a proprietary builder.

The Tradeoff

Low-code tools are fast when the shape of the application is simple. They become harder to maintain when domain rules, policy checks and workflow behavior need to be reviewed, tested and versioned like normal application code.

Traditional Laravel development gives full control, but many teams rebuild the same resource screens, filters, exports, actions and API endpoints for every internal application.

SeviaFlow sits between those approaches. Resources are PHP classes in your Laravel app. They are explicit enough for code review and tests, but structured enough for SeviaFlow packages to build consistent runtime surfaces from them.

Current Design Principles

  • Core is the shared contract for resources, tables, forms, fields, filters, relations, actions, workflows, events, permissions and CSV import/export.
  • UI is an optional Livewire adapter over Core resources.
  • API is an optional REST/OpenAPI adapter over Core resources.
  • DevTools is optional development tooling for discovery, generation, diagnostics and cache management.
  • The framework metapackage exists for applications that want Core + UI + API together.

Non-goals

SeviaFlow is not a hosted backend, a visual schema editor, or a replacement for Eloquent. The current packages do not claim a stable release line. The docs use ^0.1@dev examples because the manifests expose 0.1.x-dev.
